Romanesque art heritage • over 250 Romanesque monuments • a few "sanctuaries" that offer the most stunning examples of Romanesque architecture in the Auvergne: • Saint-Nectaire, Orcival, Saint-Saturnin, Saint-Austremoine in Issoire, Notre-Dame du Port in Clermont-Ferrand, the Basilica of Saint-Julien in Brioude ... • All these edifices were built in one single campaign, between the 11th and 12th centuries.
