ABOUT THE BIA-DOT • BIA-DOT’s mission is to provide consistent, accurate, and verifiable service to regional and field users. • BIA-DOT is responsible for 59,000+ miles of roads and about 1600 bridges. • BIA-DOT currently manages IRR programs through a combination of software tools and manual processes. ABOUT RIFDS • RIFDS: Road Inventory Field Database System • Manages the Road Inventory Data Needed for the Distribution of Transportation Funds to All Tribes • Developed According to Regulations in 25 CFR Part 170, Finalized in Aug. 2004 and implemented in Nov. 2004 • An Automated Version of the Road Inventory Data Management RIFDS Training
