Enrollment & Grading Policy Changes Grade of “Incomplete” • Incomplete grades now issued as IA, IB, IC, ID, or IF Automated No-Show-Drop • One purpose of this procedure is to enable students who are waiting to enroll in full classes the opportunity to enroll early enough to be successful. • Another is to reduce the college’s liability for students on financial aid who never attend. 65+ Tuition Waiver • Eligibility – Lower division, space available, instructor approval • Process – 65+ Tuition Waiver Form, Week 2-4

Steps for Automated No-Show-Drop An instructor should use the Automated No-Show-Drop process if: • the student does not attend or contact the instructor by the start of the second class session. • A an online student does not participate by the by Wednesday of the first week of the term. • No Show Drops will be processed through the "last day to drop with refund" for the current term. • Once the student is dropped, they will automatically receive an e-mail informing them of this change to their schedule. • If the student is here on a visa or receiving veteran assistance or financial aid, then those associated offices will be notified as well.

  5. Grade of “I” Changes Changes to giving a grade of “Incomplete” • Essential requirement of the course has not been completed • An “I” must be requested by the student and is given at the instructor’s discretion. Instructor issues an IA, IB, IC, ID, IF. • A contract will specify the length of additional time to complete the course material (standard is one-term). • If the contract is not fulfilled then the “I” grade will revert to the specified letter grade. • An “I” does not entitle a student to satisfy a prerequisite requirement for another course.

  6. “Incomplete” Forms *Incomplete forms will be automated on the “my.chemeketa” for Fall Term grades.

Communication Expectations & Important Dates Check Chemeketa email several times a week Return email and voicemail within 48 hours during work week Be sure to contact your department about any absences Syllabi are due to your department by second week of classes Stick to the published schedule for finals Turn grades in by 9AM the Monday following finals week
