  5. This is a nice picture to teach the prepositions of place. If you put it on a transparency, the pupils will say where the doll is. What's up 1? You can use this in your development stage. During the presentation as well as in the integration. Let’s get cracking!

  6. What a funny cartoon. Nice way to integrate the prepositions in expressions. Don’t you think so Ron? Is that what you mean? Yes, I do Draco. I had a good laugh myself. It can be used in the initial stage or in the development stage.

  7. Oh a riddle, that’s fun. Only one problem, I don’t know what it is? Do you? Breakaway Using this riddle, the teacher can present the adverbs of frequency. Can be used in the initial stage.

  8. Making sentences, the pupils will have to use their grammar skills. Meanwhile they also practise their speaking. Breakaway Harry, can we do these excersises too? I really want to have a laugh.

  9. Jicheal Mackson? Who is this? Development: presentation + integration Breakaway I don’t know Draco. What I do know is that the interview can be used to teach the simple present tense negatives. The pupils also learn more about questions and short answers.

  10. Do we have a fortune teller in our school Prof. Dumbledore? I don’t believe in fortune-telling anyhow. What about you? Breakaway Development: integration and presentation. Nice way to teach the simple future tense don’t you think. Afterwards the teacher and the pupils can discuss whether they believe in fortune telling or not. (horoscope)

  13. What are they doing?! They ‘d better learn how to use magic. Breakaway Maybe Draco, but who is going to make our clothes then? Or our magic materials? Teacher can use this in the development stage. Afterwards the teacher and the pupils can discuss which profession is the most fun.

  18. Oh, this is nice. By making the family tree, the pupils will learn more about the Royal Family. To use in the development stage: integration Can you do it? What's up 1? Pupils get sentences that explain the relations between the members of the Royal Family. Pupils have to put the tree together.

  19. Look Ron those pupils have to wear school uniforms like us. Doesn’t really look like the ones we have to wear doesn’t it? What's up 1? That’s right Draco! Maybe, after reading the text, the pupils can be creative and design their own school uniform. (evaluation) What would you design?

  20. I’m really fond of the Scottisch Highland games. Not only the games themself are quite enjoyable, they also represent the culture of Scotland. Can we do these games at Zweinstein Prof. Perkamentus? Transit I will think about it Hagrid. In the classroom the pupils can have a first look at these games. By filling in the speech bubbles they have to use their creativity. The teacher can use this in the initial stage.

  21. Look Hermeline, a map of the U.K. I can see my house over here. The teacher can use this in almost every lesson. Everytime when is talked about a city, country of the U.K, the teacher + pupils can indicate this on the map. Britain in close-up Sure Harry! But you’re right, if the pupils learn how to speak English, surely they will have to know where the U.K. is situated.

Development: presentation Pupils have to match the imperatives with the right traffic signs. Will you be a good pedestrian, driver, cyclist?

  25. Gezondheidseducatie Ron, do you know what fast food is? Pupils have to listen to the cd and complete the dialogues (listening). => Pupils learn when they have to use a or an. Hotline Yes, I do. I don’t think it’s quite healthy food. If you do this orally, you can discuss whether fast food is healthy or not. Development: presentation and integration + evaluation

  26. Body image Hahaha, some snappy answers to stupid questions. To be used in the evaluation stage. Transit Pupils have to give some snappy answers to these stupid questions. + discussion => pupils understand the importance of going to the doctor’s, to hospital, learning about first aid,...
