In this presentation we use the example of Portsmouth One World Week to show how they have been organising events and involving people in them . . .

  • Portsmouth Race Equality Network Organisation

  • Portsmouth Libraries and City Council

  • Campaigning groups and NGOs such as:

  • Portsmouth Fairtrade Forum

  • Oxfam

  • Portsmouth Climate Action Network

  • OWW is not linked to any one faith or political party.

  • It encourages involvement from all.

  • You’re welcome to join us if you:

  • enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds

  • are concerned for other people around the world

  • want to explore shared concerns such as:

  • - overcoming poverty

  • seeking justice

  • building peace

  • - surviving sustainably.

  • - climate change, and

  • - living in harmony with each other

  • and with nature.

    but you can celebrate at any time.

  • The theme for 2010 is:

    Peacing Together One Worldcreating a culture of peace for our children
