  4. Active Projects • Adelaide Avenue High School. • Central High School. • Hanley Vocational School. • Career and Technical Educational Facility. • Free Standing Athletic Complex. • Nathan Bishop Middle School. • West Broadway Elementary School.

  5. Comments Opened on time September 2007 575 students in grades 9-11 Outstanding Issues Access route to the Building still pending. Active ProjectsAdelaide Avenue High School

  6. Comments Estimated Cost of $36MM. Final stages of multi year renovation. Interior and Exterior. Building Codes. Temporary relocation of students. Outstanding Issues Permanent Certificate of Occupancy received. Furnishings in place. Opened for use January 1, 2008. Expected to be fully occupied August 2008. Active ProjectsCentral High School

  7. Comments Estimated cost is $22MM Part of RIDE’s $90 M approval which includes the Hanley facility, CTE and Athletic Complex. Hanley programming - Culinary, Cosmetology, Graphic Arts, Automotive. Outstanding Issues City to Issue Bonds. Project design currently undergoing changes. Awaiting Deed for Land Parcel. Completion Sept. 2009. Active ProjectsHanley Career and Technical School

Completion in Sept. 2009. Outstanding Issues RIDE approval of project City to sell Bonds. Acquire City Planning Commission pre-approval. Acquire Zoning Board approval. Active ProjectsCareer and Technical Education (CTE) Hanley Wing Update • Masonry and Window replacement complete; • Roofing 90% complete; • Installation of mechanical systems 80% complete; • Interior walls complete; • Painting in progress; • Third Floor - finish painting, ceiling grids, light fixtures and floor preparations underway; • Substantially complete by January 2009, but not available for use until September 2009.

Active ProjectsCareer and Technical Education (CTE) CTE - By October 1, 2008 • Foundation completed; • Slabs complete; • Erection of structural steel commenced; • Installation of new underground utilities. CTE - Post November: • Masonry to begin; • Fireproofing of structural steel; • Pouring of elevated decks; • Exterior walls begin.

  15. Comments Estimated Cost of $18 MM. Part of RIDE’s $90 M approval which includes the Hanley facility, CTE and Athletic Complex. Will house track and field and other indoor sports events. Outstanding Issues City awaiting RIDEM approval City to issue bonds. Bidding underway for building, site, foundation and building envelope. Expected to open September 2009. Active ProjectsNathan Bishop Middle School Nathan Bishop Update • Awarded contract and commenced work as of June 2008. • Abatement work and exterior masonry in progress; • Selective demolition ongoing; • Site utilities and development in progress; • Commenced new interior walls on 1st Floor; • No outstanding issues – Open September 2009.

  18. Comments Students and Faculty relocated to Pell Complex. Options Development Community Group. Work of the Community Group will be submitted to School Board. Outstanding Issues No timetable set for this project to date. Active ProjectsWest Broadway Elementary School

  19. Warm, Safe and Dry Projects • $12.4 million in FY 2006. • $11.5 million in FY 2007 • FY 2008/FY 2009 • $2.0 million for 25 projects completed this past summer at 16 schools; • $750,000 for 5 projects scheduled for this fall at 5 schools.
