  4. First, be sure you understand the words in the question. • infer- figure out, guess • gives (one) reason to believe- makes you think that • suggest- give clues about, hint • (you) can tell that- there is proof to show that • probably- most likely

  5. TIP • The exact answer isn’t in the reading. • Try to figure out the best answer based on two or three clues in the reading.
