GARNOCK WAY • Garnock Way was a short-lived Scottish Soap Opera • Produced by Scottish Television for the ITV network • The show was a forerunner of Take the High Road • Set in a town halfway between Glasgow and Edinburgh. • In 1980 Garnock Way was replaced by Take the High Road • Which was a bigger budget affair and more in keeping with the 'tartan' perception of Scotland.

  4. TAKE THE HIGH ROAD/HIGH ROAD • Take the High Road was a soap opera produced by Scottish Television • Set in the fictional village of Glendarroch • Exteriors were filmed in the real-life village of Luss on the banks of Loch Lomond. • In 1994, the series' name was changed to just High Road, and from then on it continued to be produced by Scottish Television, for a Scottish audience, until it was cancelled in April 2003.YouTube - Take the High Road - 1/4
