  2. Britain is one of the most famous countries on the Music World. Do youknowwhy? The country is famed for influx of rock and roll, beat and pop performers, who extend the culture around the world.

  3. The British Invasion expression is far and wide used to describe the infiltration of the British music culture in the American music scene. The mainstream surfaced in 1964 by the Beatles, who led their music into the USA.

  4. The Beatles were also known as the Liverpool four, formed by John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr.

  5. They are the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed band in the history of pop music.

  6. The Beatles sparked an interest between US fans to British music. The British Invasion was successfully followed by the Rolling Stones, the Kinks, the Animals, the Yardbirds and the Who, the Queen, David Bowie, the Deep Purple, Elton John, the Led Zeppelin, the Bee Gees, the Slade, the T-Rex and others.

  7. The Rolling Stones • The 60s • formed by MickJagger, Ban Jones, Keith Richards, Bill Wyman and Charlie Watts.

  8. The Queen • The 70s • formed by Freddie Mercury, Brian May, John Deacon and Roger Taylor.

  9. Elton John • The 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s • He wrote the lyrics and composed the melody of the song: “Candle in the Wind” in 1997 in memory of Princess Diana (Lady Di).

  12. Amy Winehouse • Like an icon she had a duty to take care of her image and her country. • The scandals that she was involved in went outside world and damaged the image of England influencing their culture negatively.
