He leads the national effort for the State Plan of Work and Annual Report process under the Agricultural Research, Extension and Education Reform Act; manages the Multistate Research Fund Project Proposal approvals for CSREES; and develops performance information for the PART and CSREES Budget. Guiding Principles • Every investment is reported • Report once and only once, and use the information reported • Meet requirements of federal reporting • Information of value to us and the grantees • Capture Post Award Termination data • Ability to answer detailed questions across functions • All program and project applications are submitted through eGrants

  15. Non-Formula (competitive) will be listed from e-Grants Click to create a Formula project

  16. To start project initiation for a Formula grant project the user will chose the type of formula grant, similar to the method used in CRIS

  17. We’ll split this into multiple slides

  18. Take note of the tabs Non-Formula Grant Everything can be pre-populated from Grants.Gov Includes Tracking and Proposal Numbers

  19. Take note of the tabs Formula Grant For Formula enter the title and the state’s own project number and department. Other boxes are prefilled

  20. You may enter collaborating States, Institutions within selected states, and international countries

  21. Only institutions within each state are on the drop down list Formula grant projects require the user to enter start and end dates, Non-Formula pre-populate dates from Grants.Gov

  22. For Formula Grant projects enter the contact information for the project. It is pre-populated with the user designated administrator, if changed to the PD, check the box and that is carried forward as PD

  23. Non-Formula picks up contacts from Grants.Gov.

  24. Project Director(s) will be pre-filled from Grants.Gov for non-formula. Enter the number staff years in the FTE matrix. It has been expanded to collect students engaged in the project.

  25. Keywords will be pre-populated from Grants.Gov submissions. Formula projects will be able to hand enter key-words As many keywords as wanted may be entered by clicking the plus sign Keywords are useful to increase hits by text search such as Google

  26. The project percent of Research Education and Extension is collected

  27. If there is a Research percent, the amount of Basic, Applied, Developmental is asked If it is AREERA Formula- associate it to Planned Program in Plan of Work

  28. If it is non-formula it will automatically be associated to the Grant Program in the RFA

  29. For Formula - You may upload the Project Proposal if required

  30. For Formula, provide a simple estimated first year budget

  31. For Formula we will electronically capture the required assurance statements

  32. The REEport can’t be submitted if there are known errors
