  1. A Step-by-Step Procedure for Preparing BBS Data Using Object wise Data Entry Using Formulator Select BarBeQue2009 Icon From Desktop Start Program FORMULATOR from above List

  2. BBS Data can be created easily for Standard Library of RCC Objects using FORMULATOR

  3. Select NEW PROJECT Option from PROJECT Menu to Create a New FMDB file.

  4. By Default New Folder is Created in BQ2009Projects folder

  5. Enter Project Code Name as PROJECT2

  6. Select YES Option for Copying Definitions of Library Objects from MASTER FILE which has come with the package.

  7. MASTERBBS.fmdb file is available in folder C:\Program Files\Ensoft\BarBeQue 2009\Formulator

  8. A New file PROJECT2.fmdb will be created without any Objects

  9. Select ADD OBJECT from EDIT menu to add data for a Sample Object Footing.

  10. MASTERBBS.fmdb file contains Formula for Calculating Bar Lengths for many Types of RCC Objects Listed above. User can ADD new. Select Object Type as FootingWithBarNos Isolated Flat as type of Footing to be added.

  11. Enter Object Name as FOOTING F1 and Object Nos. as 6 means six identical footings

  12. Tick Option Show Object Type Sketch to Display Sketch of Footing while making data entry.

  13. Enter Dimensions of Object Footing as desired. Object Sketch displays variable names.

  14. Program Calculates Bar Dimensions A, B, C for Long & Short Bars of Footing.

  15. Right Click on the View (Or Click Edit Menu) and Select ADD OBJECT to add another

  16. Select Object Type ColumnRectangle with BottomTypeWith8VerticalBars for Column

  17. Enter Object Name as COLUMN C1 and Object Nos. as 6 means six identical Columns

  18. Press OK to Proceed Further.

  19. Enter Column Variable Data as Shown for generating Column Bar Dimensions

  20. Program Calculates Bar Dimensions A, B, C for Vertical Column Bars and Links.

  21. Right Click on the View (Or Click Edit Menu) and Select ADD OBJECT to add Plinth Beam

  22. Select Object Type BEAM DISCONTINUOUS on BOTH ENDS for a Sample Plinth Beam

  23. Enter Object Name as PB1 and Object Nos. as 4 means there are four identical Beams

  24. Enter Beam Object Dimension data as shown. Program will calculate the Bar Dimensions

  25. Program Calculates Bar Dimensions A, B, C for Beam Bottom & Top Bars and Stirrups.

  26. Select EXIT to quit FORMULATOR and Start BarBeQue to read Project2.FMDB file created.

  27. Press OK to Close FORMULATOR

  28. Select BarBeQue2009 Icon From Desktop Start Program BarBeQue from above List

  29. Project2.FMDB file created using FORMULATOR can be read with BarBeQue to generate BBS

  30. Select OPEN FMDBFile option to read Data File created with FORMULATOR

  31. Press OK to proceed further

  32. Select PROJECT2.FMDB file and Press OPEN

  33. Select NO to Generate Only One BBS Sheet with All Objects entered with FORMULATOR

  34. Press OK to proceed further

  35. BBS Data created using FORMULATOR for Bars of Column, Footing is Displayed.

  36. BBS Sheet created for Column, Footing & Plinth Beams entered.

  37. Enlarged View of BBS Sheet (Left Portion)

  38. Enlarged View of BBS Sheet (Right Portion)

  39. Diameter wise Break-up of Steel for BBS Sheet

  40. Select EXIT from FILE menu to Quit program.

  41. This Completes Sample Program Run Using FORMULATOR with Object wise Data Entry.
