  2. Sick Leave How many sick leave days do certificated employees receive each year?

  3. Sick Leave Facts • Classroom teachers work a 185-day year (speech pathologists,187) = 10 days • Counselors/Certificated Nurses work a 195-day year =101/2 sick leave days • Psychologists work a 200-day year =11 sick leave days Article 10.2 (pgs 27-28)

  4. Sick Leave Facts • All unused sick leave is carried over to the next school year. • Unused sick leave from another school district within the state of California may be transferred to CUSD.

  13. Uses of PN Days • Of the 7 PN days, 3 are considered to be discretionary – that is the employee uses them for maters than cannot be dealt with during school hours and/or necessitate the immediate attention of the employee Article 10.3.3 (pg. 31)

  14. No Tell PN Day • Out of those 3 discretionary days, one of those days is considered a no-tell day • As with any PN day, advance notification, if possible, shall be given, but the reason for the PN no-tell does not have to be shared with the site administrator. Article 10.3.3 (pg. 31)
