ISETT ETQA • What are the roles and responsibilities of the ETQA • Accredit Training Providers for specific standards or qualifications registered on the NQF • Promote Quality amongst constituent providers • Monitor provision of Education and Training • Evaluate assessment and facilitate moderation of Training Providers • Register Assessors • Certificate Learners

ISETT ETQA • What are the roles and responsibilities of the ETQA • Co-operate with other ETQAs across all Sectors towards cross-sectoral Quality Assurance • Recommend new Unit Standards, or modification to existing ones, to National Standards Bodies (NSBs) • Maintain a Database of learners and Training Providers • Approve Training Providers for delivery of short courses that are not registered on the NQF, using the same criteria as that for Accreditation

Promote Quality & Monitor Provision • Quality Assurance Toolkit Developed • Structured, step-by-step, information tool that leads to Approval, Accreditation and/or Assessor Registration • Application Portfolio Guide • Process approach implementation guide to a Quality Management System • Remedial Self Assessment Guide • Benchmark process for all ISETT Approvals, Accreditations and Assessor Registrations

Unit Standards Facilitation • Assisted SGBs with the following Qualifications: • TSGB : • Certificate in Operation and Maintenance of switching Technology - Level 5 • Certificate in Operation and Maintenance of Transmission Technology - Level 5 • Certificate in Planning of Switching & Transmission Technology - Level 5 • Under Development: • Transmission Mediums • Telecommunications Regulations • Customer Premises Equipment

  9. Unit Standards Facilitation • Assisted SGBs with the following Qualifications: • ITSGB : (Under development) • Certificate, Diploma & Advanced Diploma in Programming • IT Technician • SAQA/ISETT Joint Implementation Plan • Signed 7/8/2002 • Improve Co-ordination on Unit Standards, resourcing and funding issues • Accelerate Standards Generation in line with priority needs
