  1. The Earth By: Tyler Galloway, Weilon Price, and Danny Harvey

  2. Size of the planet Earth • The Earth has a radius of about 3,959 miles (6,371 km) • Then it has a diameter of 7,918 miles (12,742 km)

  3. Color & Unique Surface Features • The Earth’s general colors are Green, White, and Blue. • Liquid Water, Volcanoes, and Oceanic Trenches are all unique surface features.

  4. How long is a Rotation & Revolution? • A rotation takes about a day or 24 hours. • For a revolution it takes about 365.25 days.

  5. Density of Earth • The density of Earth is approximately 5.52g/cm³. • It has the largest density out of any planet in our solar system.

  6. Gravity of the Earth • The Earth’s gravity pulls objects down at approximately 9.8 m/s². • Because of Gravity you are constantly falling on Earth.

  7. Atmosphere Composition • It is composed of Nitrogen (78%) Oxygen (21%) Argon and others (1%)

  8. Surface Composition The surface composition is mostly made up of Oxygen, Silicon, Iron, and Magnesium

  9. Interior Composition • It is composed of primarily of an iron-nickel alloy.

  10. Magnetic Field • Earth’s outer core is liquid iron, the flow of the liquid iron cause electric currents, which is magnetic field. The carioles force cause the magnetic field to go the same way.

  11. Earth’s Moon • The Earth has only one moon. • The moon has no specific name it’s just referred to as “The Moon.” • The Moon is approximately ¼ the size of Earth.

  12. Earth’s Uniqueness • It is the only known planet that can support life. • It’s the only planet known with liquid water. • Earth has a fairly circular orbit, so there is relatively less seasonal temperature change than a lot of planets.

  13. Summary • The Earth has a radius of about 3959 miles • The Earth is green, blue, and white. • It is the only planet to have liquid water. • Earth’s moon is roughly ¼ the size of Earth & is the only moon of the Earth. • Earth is the only planet known to support life. • Atmosphere composed of Nitrogen, Oxygen, Argon & Other gases. • Surface composed of Magnesium, Oxygen, Iron, & Silicon. • Interior of Earth is composed of an Iron-Nickel Alloy. • Earth’s gravity pulls objects down at approximately 9.8 m/s². • The density of Earth is roughly 5.52g/cm³. • Rotation of Earth is 24 hours & the Revolution of Earth is 365.25 days. • Volcanoes & Oceanic Trenches are unique surface features of Earth. • Earth’s radius is about 3959 miles (6,371 kilometers) • Earth’s diameter is about 7,918 miles (12,742 kilometers)
