  1. MYTHOLOGY Create a web on your next blank page in your Crafting section. Use the whole page. Draw this box and title in the CENTER of your page. Now draw FOUR boxes attached to the center. (I suggest 2 above, and 2 below.) Make them large enough that you can write NEATLY in them.

  2. Mythology Copy each bullet point into a box on your web. I will give you five minutes of silence to write them, and be sure you read them and think about them. I will then briefly discuss each one.

  3. Mythology Myths often take place before time, (or recorded history as we know it), began. Myths have characters that are humans or humanlike, and experience human emotions

  4. Mythology Myths often explain the worldview of a people or culture, and may include religious elements. Myths have gods, goddesses, heroes, and fantastic creatures with supernatural powers. **Examples of a “fantastic creature” are wizards, dragons, etc.

  5. Mythology/ Summarizing Go to your next blank page in your Crafting section. Title the page as this slide is titled. Then, copy the following chart, using the whole page. SWBS: A Summarizing Strategy

  6. Mythology/ Summarizing Now we will watch a short mythology film and fill out our chart. We will watch it once, together. Listen and do not talk or make noise. I will then play it again, and you will need to fill in your SWBS chart. **If we do not finish, we will finish this on Wednesday.
