This program is designed to align with the topics and learning objectives of the NBCRNA Core Modules, speci?cally in the two domains of Applied Clinical Pharmacology, Anesthesia Equipment & Technology. This program has been prior approved by the AANA (American Association of Nurse Anesthetists) for 7.00 Class A CE credits; Code Number 1037758; Expiration Date 5/17/2020. AANA designates this program as meeting the criteria for up to 1.00 CE Credits in pharmacology/therapeutics. AANA is an approved provider by the California Board of Registered Nursing, CEP #10862. Seminar Objectives: This course is designed to increase con?dence in epidural regional anesthesia procedures. Didactic lectures are followed by faculty-guided hands-on experiences, including ultrasound scanning, to reinforce teaching points. A limited student-to-instructor ratio provides individualized instruction. The following subjects will be covered in detail: • Techniques of Epidural Regional Anesthesia • Clinical Conundrums – Epidural Misadventures • Ultrasound: An Adjunct in Epidural Placement • An Approach to Dosing the Labor Epidural.
