  2. What is Historiography???? • Historiography is the study of the methodology of the study of History. • In other words, Historiography examines how we do History.

  3. Sources . . . • Primary Sources - Original, first-hand documents or objects, created by the participants or observers of the event. II. Secondary Sources - Documents (books, articles, etc.) that interpret, explain, or analyze the “primary” event or document.

  4. Bias and Revisionism • Bias is the unavoidable slant that is inherent in secondary source documents. • Revisionism is the reinterpretation of a historical event/person based on recently discovered evidence or cultural bias.
