  2. Racist Posts ??? • Racism on social networks are making headlines nowadays. • Mostly the immature younger generation are the ones who initiates this problem. • They do not realize what could be the consequences of posting racist issues in FB.

  3. Consequences…. • Creates dissatisfaction and misunderstanding among your FB friends • Your racist post can spread very fast to the public and media • You can lose your career, life and dignity • You disgrace your family’s name and indirectly put them in danger

  4. TRUE STORY 1….(MALAYSIA)

  5. Presana Narayanan, a Malayalee Malaysian woman condemned about all the Tamils in Malaysia using sensitive words by publishing it in her FB. • This has created a big havoc among the Indians. One of her friend in FB print screen her post and shared to others. • Later many who were not pleased with her post started to criticize her badly and opened a FB page called ‘Anti Presana Narayanan’.

  6. An official police report was lodged on her demanding for her apologize. • This has ruined her life and caused her lose her job as a model and graphic designer.

  7. TRUE STORY 2….(INTERNATIONAL)

Kevin Sinclair, a student of the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) has been suspended for allegedly posting a racist message on FB. • He posted using vulgar words about the Africans in his country. • CPUT condemned Sinclair's actions in the "strongest possible terms". • It was not clear how long the disciplinary process would take to complete or what penalties Sinclair could face if found guilty.
