  2. Austria este stat federal din sudul Europei Centrale,fără ieşire la mare.Supafaţa este de 83.871 kmp. Este formată din 9 landuri federale.

  3. CADRUL NATURAL • RELIEFUL • 65% din suprafaţă este acoperită de Munţii Alpi,ce culmineaza la aproape 4.000m. Ce pastreaza si in prezent ghetari • Zonele joase sunt reprezentate de V.Dunării şi parte din C.Vienei CLIMA SI HIDROGRAFIA • Clima-temperată de tranziţie mai rece în munţi; • Hidrografia-bogată,influenţată de lanţul alpin; • Lacuri glaciare – ex.Constanta, Neusiedler • Fluvii precum Dunărea,Inn,Drava • Vegetaţia este formată din păduri de foioase şi conifere;

ECONOMIA • Resurse naturale variate(sare,minereu de fier) • Hidroenergia asigură 60% din necesarul naţional de energie electrică, • Agricultură bazată pe creşterea animalelor • Dezvoltate transporturile; • Este foarte bine dezvoltat turismul montan (Innsbruck),pentru sporturi de iarnă şi cel cultural (Viena,Linz,Salzburg) • Este una din cele mai vizitate tari din Europa
