For Students from Northern Ireland • No Tuition Fees - Fees for EU Students paid by Irish Government • Registration Fees – As from 2013 all students will be required to pay registration fees of €2500 or approximately £2000 per annum • Four Year Honours Degree – many universities offer a paid work experience usually during third year • Separate Application Process for Irish Universities – you can apply to both UCAS and CAO

  3. ADMISSIONS POINTS SYSTEM – GCSE /A -LEVELS • Maths, English and a language (Grade C or above at GCSE or A-level) required by most Universities and ITs • (Irish not necessary) • Points based on 4 ‘A’ Levels or 3 ‘A’ Levels + 1 AS Level • Entry requirements usually range from 315 to 560 Irish CAO Points

The APPLICATION Process • CAO System: www.cao.ie • (Application Online or by Post) • Deadline 1st February 2013 • Fee €25 (Online rate before 20th Jan) • Fee €40 (Online or paper before 1st Feb) • Late Applications can be made up until 1st May 2013 • (€60 online, €80 paper) • 10 choices (must be listed in order of preference)
