  1. Wednesday, October 26 Bell work: Please have out your reading log and AR book. Use bell work time to review your plot diagram notes in the black composition book. Any extra credit WS are due by 3:00 today. The Study Island assignment is due by 11:59 PM.

  2. Agenda 1. Allow students time to review the plot diagram information in their black composition books 2. Administer the plot diagram quiz 3. Students who finish early may work on Study Island, read for AR, work on extra credit, etc. 4. After all students finish the quiz, students should read the background information and reading tools for reading non-fiction science and social studies text.

  3. Agenda 5. Have students create a KWL chart in their black composition book—allow 2-3 minutes to brainstorm what students already know about the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy 6. Next, students should brainstorm what they want to know about this topic 7. Read the article aloud as a class 8. Students will have 5 minutes to write what they learned from reading the article 9. Continue the non-fiction Power Point presentation Homework: Read for AR (20 logs); Study Island assignment due Wednesday by 11:59 PM; AR due Friday; Word Generation quiz on Friday; point sheet check Thursday or Friday
