  2. Abrasion Abrasion is rocks rubbing together or water to make a round smooth surface. 

  3. Exfoliation Exfoliation is the breaking down of rocks into layers. 

  4. Organic Activity Organic Activity is when organisms are on the rock 

  5. Frost Wedging When liquid water freezes it expands 9% in an outward force which makes the cracks larger …. And after many freeze thaw cycles the rock breaks into pieces.

  6. Hydrolysis Iron-bearing silicate minerals weather to form clays by hydrolysis. 

  7. Dissolution Dissolving rocks slowly making Caves and Canyons. 

  8. Oxidation Oxygen reacted with Iron forming Iron Oxide or Rust. 

  9. Acid – Carbonation, Precipitation, And Plant Acid Plant Acid- Moss slowly deteriorating the rock. :0 Carbonic Acid- Rocks changing color and texture.  Acid Rain- Creating pores in the rock. 
