Program to Enhance Graduate Education (E.G.E.) • New Program – First-ever awards made this semester • Process • Call for pre-proposals: Focus on Ph.D. programs • Submission of pre-proposals: 29 received • Invitation of complete proposals: 15 invitations • 13 complete proposals received • Internal review committee: 7 faculty members (December 2005) • 6 three-year awards recommended and approved • Authors of all 13 proposals notified (January 2006) • Awards total $1,082,232 • Annual Program, up to approximately $1 million/year
