What Are The Membership Types? • Member: Applicants who have twelve or more years of qualified industry-related experience (includes education, license and work experience). • Associate: Applicants who have less than twelve years of ASHRAE-approved industry experience in the heating, refrigerating, air-conditioning, or ventilating fields. • Affiliate: Introductory grade for applicants with a general interest in the Society’s programs and services. • Student: Must be studying or have an interest in an HVAC&R industry-related field. Eligible students must be participating in an approved course of study in a university, college, junior college, or technical institute.

  5. What Are The Benefits? • Member: Membership includes ASHRAE Handbook and subscription to ASHRAE Journal. Price: $180 USD. • Associate:Membership includes ASHRAE Handbook and subscription to ASHRAE Journal. Price: $180 USD. • Affiliate: Membership includes subscription to ASHRAE Journal. This three year only membership grade is limited to those who are under 30 years of age who are first-time new members. Price: $50 USD (Year 1), $70 USD (Year 2), and $90 USD (Year 3). • Student: Membership includes subscription to ASHRAE Journal and special pricing on ASHRAE Handbooks. Price: $20 USD.

Local Chapter Membership:The Power of Chapters ASHRAE shares global knowledge by bringing members together via chapters, which allows them to work together, share ideas, and advance the standards of practice to improve the built environment. ASHRAE has 175 chapters in North America and the following countries: Brazil, Argentina, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Taiwan, Philippines, Thailand, Qatar, India, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Lebanon, Kuwait, Greece, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates, Portugal, Romania, Poland, Bahrain, Spain, Nigeria and Indonesia
