  1. Grocery UES Updates Reach-in LED and Case ECM • December 11, 2012

  2. ECMs for Display Cases

  3. Analysis Approach • Direct savings calculated as the difference between the baseline input watts and efficient case input watts, multiplied by the hours of annual operation. • Input watts are calculated based on industry standard efficiency levels and manufacturer reported output wattages. • Weighting is used to account for motors with a range of available output power. • Indirect savings are based on typical annual average EER values.

  4. Recommended Updates

  5. Additional Updates • Cost reduced from $110/motor to $84.45/motor (2006$) • Source: DEER 2004 • Supported by feedback from program

  7. LEDs for Reach-in Cases

  8. Analysis Approach • Direct savings calculated as the difference between the baseline input watts and efficient case input watts, multiplied by the hours of annual operation. • Baseline input watts are calculated based on test data from door manufacturer. • Efficient-case input watts are based on average of test data for products rebated in 2012. • Indirect savings are based on typical annual average EER values.
