  1. There is a long history of movies that hit the silver screen diving into television sets in the forms of TELEVISION programs. Some were met with big success and durability, but most of them were virtual train wrecks. On the surface it appears like a logically brilliant concept: take a film that audiences loved and extend it into a more absorbable, bite-sized version that they could enjoy every week from the comfort of their houses. But carrying over the success of a movie into the tv world seems to include a tricky and delicate science that no one seems to know the solutions to. A television series adjustment of the Blade trilogy and the recent news of a live-action Star Wars tv series coming to life near the end of this years beg us to ask whether either will prosper. Of course, success in this sense can be interpreted in a variety of ways. Does it depend just on the quality of the program? More than likely not, because there have actually been movie-to-television cross-overs that were critically well-known but were only provided a couple of months to run. Does it depend exclusively on the popularity of the show? Not as much as one would believe. So what does success in this genre depend upon? Lets have a look at some TELEVISION reveals that were originally films that ran for long periods of time, and then some that burnt out quickly to see if there is a visible pattern. Range Runners -- M * A * S * H *: Many individuals forget that M * A * S * H * was initially a film (1970) that was met with approval in the theaters. It made its method onto television screens in 1972 and ran all the way to 1983. -- Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The film was released in 1992 and was met really combined results. In some way the program managed to run for seven solid years (1997-2003) as a television series with a substantial fan base. -- Stargate SG-1: Stargate was a film launched in 1994. It was met with blended reactions, but the program fared far better, running from 1997 all the method till now. -- Highlander: The film version hit theaters in 1986. Audience action was decent, however the TV series that was released in 1992 found a faithful following. It ran up until 1998. -- La Femme Nikita: Nikita was a movie directed by Luc Besson that was launched in 1990 and got excellent actions from audiences. The tv series had a strong following and operated on TELEVISION from 1997 to 2001. Short-Distance Losers -- My Huge Fat Greek Life: Though movie studios underestimated My Big Fat Greek Wedding events chances for success on the cinema, CBS overestimated its possibilities for comparable victory as a television series. This huge fat disaster ran for seven episodes in 2003. -- Unaware: In 1995, Unaware did well in cinema as a comedy-romance. However, when the movie became a TELEVISION show in 1996 it was absolutely nothing more than a vain, uncomfortable, and lame television experience. The program in some way managed to stay on air up until 1999. -- Ferris Bueller: Ferris Buellers Day Of Rest was a huge hit in 1986, however the TV series just lasted one unpleasant season in 1990. Ferris has actually had a lot of days off since then. -- Planet of the Apes: The Charlton Heston-infused movie did well in the theaters in 1968, however for some factor the TELEVISION version only lasted one season in 1974.

  2. -- Uncle Dollar: Was the movie really that great in 1989? It was just a basic comedy that tried to teach youngsters the idea of appreciating your household. So was the TV series in 1990 really necessary? One season tells us no. There are numerous other movie-to-TV reveals that only lasted a couple of months, if that. Dangerous Minds, Fast Times, and Being a parent are simply three of lots of, many failures in this category. The chances are against the future https://paxtonnhxt066.creatorlink.net/5-fun-facts-about-clarkes-third- law Blade tv series and George Lucas live-action Star Wars TV program. Though Blade does not actually seem to be anything special, it will be fascinating to see whether the vampires and beasts that carried the movie trilogy will have the ability to do the very same on tv screens. Star Wars does have a remarkably substantial and loyal fan base, the similarity which no movie-to-TV series has had the luxury of having, and could be the tipping point for the shows potential longevity and success. But in no chance will this guarantee the victory of the adaptation. Neither will high caliber stories or acting. It appears that tv audiences and studios are considerably more fickle than their movie equivalents, so good luck to both the developers of Blade and Star Wars Lucas, both of whom will be at the complete grace of aspects that are virtually unknown.
