Presentations next week!! • You will work in the same groups as you did for Presentation #1 • Each presentation must be 4-5 minutes long – you will lose points if shorter than 4 minutes • Make sure you introduce EACH member of the group. (it should not take more than 30 seconds) • Must have a clear ending. • Each group member must have equal parts in the presentation. • BE CREATIVE in your presentation. • Each presentation will have one situation from Unit 5 or Unit 6 in your books.

  13. Review for Presentations • Your group will be given a situation • You will be given 15 minutes to prepare a short 1-2 minute dialogue • You will perform the dialogue for this class only!! Next class you will be doing your own group presentations!

All 5 Situations from Units 5 and 6 • Groups 1 & 2: You just returned from a foreign country and are talking to your friends about your experiences, both good & bad. • Groups 3 & 4 You invite a foreign friend over to your new apartment for dinner, and something in the apartment goes wrong while your friend is there. • Groups 5 & 6 Two foreign friends are coming home with you to visit your parents. Give them some information on your culture so they know how to act appropriately. • Groups 7 & 8 You just started renting a new apartment, and invite some friends over to see it – but there are some things wrong. • Groups 9, 10 & 11 Your foreign teacher needs help returning some piece of equipment that they bought the week before, but that already doesn’t work.

  15. For Next Week: Prepare for Presentation #2. Must be 4-5 minutes long, using topics from: Unit 5: Crossing Cultures Unit 6: What’s Wrong With It? Meet with partners and prepare for Quiz #2. Look through Unit 7: The World We Live In.
