  3. MIDDLE SCHOOL REGISTRATION DATES Open Enrollment for students who are not currently enrolled in an RUSD school begins April 29, 2013.

What happens next? • Counselors will register students starting next week. • They will return to the middle schools in May to hand out course selections to students. • Summer mailer (middle of July)-Go through it in detail! • Freshman Orientation on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 8:00AM – 1:00PM • August 14th—1st Day of School

Physical) 2 years of P.E. 1 year Fine Arts or Foreign Language 1 semester of Health 1 semester of Physical Geography (Freshman Requirement) 80 Elective Credits 225 credits are required for graduation. Students earn approximately 60 credits each year. The minimum requirements for graduation include:  All students are required to pass the California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE)

  11. Telepresence Courses This is a course that is taught by an instructor over a Telepresence system. It is an interactive, live class that students must attend on campus at the scheduled time. In a Telepresence classroom, students will engage in discussion, group work, class work, and tests just as they would in a regular classroom. Student should have computer experience and be comfortable with technology. Outside assignments requiring technology can be met at school, at public libraries, or at home.

  14. Encourage good attendance and citizenship • Attendance is crucial for success! Poor attendance = poor grades = lost opportunities • High school requires a higher level of maturity • Seek help/advice if problems arise

Contact someone when there is a problem… • Teachers-Classroom issues and questions • Counselors-Scheduling/grades/class concerns • Administrators-Discipline/attendance/teacher concerns • Our doors are always open to students and parents • If your student tells you something of concern, report it. Confidentiality will be ensured.

Clearance Information • Complete the Sports Packet available on-line from REV’s website and should be returned to Mrs. Young, Athletic Secretary, 389-2500, Extension 32109. • Sports Packets are available for 2013-2014 on REV’s website: http://rev.redlandsusd.net. • The Physical Exam is mandatory prior to try-out. Physical exams are good for one year. • The completed packet and residential/academic eligibility must be determined prior to try-outs (2.0 GPA required—at least four semester classes). • The player presents the Consent to Treat and Clearance Card to the coach prior to beginning the try-out process.
