Gender resource gaps relates to all ills • Gender Resource Gaps: Multiple Forms • Gender resource gaps across space = 31% • Differential resource access in terms of basic services 3% (e.g. There is 7% gender gap in access to institution. men have 10% more literacy, 18% more school education) • Differential resource access in income generation 130% and economic worth men have 58% more resources • Men had 14% more asset base than women Source: ShivaniBhardwajPhd Thesis “Differential Resource Access : An exploratory study on gender gaps in Delhi”

  4. Women do care role more The project area has 32% Joint family households and 68% belonged to unitary families. Care roles of16% disabled, 10% alcoholics and 46% aged are delegated to women or to domestic help. Women get to earning more, when their care roles become less • Groups need to be formed in the project area with women leadership . Each project has to have women and men working to make neihborhood better. Different groups will propose different projects to increase productivity and wellness in the area by generating and claiming resources in local control.

Project Pilot: Love Your Neighborhood – MayurVihar Home visits for those with mobility issues and knowing institutions in the neighborhood, Information on services through phone and web Garbage segregation Green and clean commons Small care enterprise through gender resource centers and migration centers Sessions in schools and street shows SCAN: warming neighborhoods to team up to lessen resource gaps

  11. So that all including women feel safe with resources to increase capabilities Safety increases with spaces accessed owned and managed with public eye on violence that can be prevented. Many production and care spaces need to be planned Services for information on work groups, yoga class, counseling and caring will be social enterprise the project will promote
