What is the NCD Policy Observatory?

  • Comprises a network of countries and institutions supporting a Knowledge Development & Dissemination systembased on

    • Monitoring and analysis of:

  • NCD-related

    • Public policies

    • Legislation/Regulations

    • International health policies


Goals of the ncd policy observatory
Goals of the NCD Policy Observatory

  • To support the development of effective integrated NCD prevention policies through:

    • the systematic analysis of the processes involved in formulation, adoption and implementation of such policies; and

    • linking this analysis to the evaluation of programs and interventions established through these policies.

  • To strengthen multi-sectoral collaboration in the formulation and adoption of specific and complementary policies that maximize NCD prevention.

  • To place NCD prevention higher on the agenda of policy makers.
