  3. Goals EBR • Provision of business information to the public • International co-operation, benchmarking, give input to EU To conclude: partly “running a register”, partly “like ECRF”

  4. Dublin 2005 • Different members of EBR want different things • ECRF needs legal identity • Find a solution! • First: determine the problems and constraints

  5. Constraints • Owning shares is not possible for everyone involved • Participating in a legal entity: likewise • (Unlimited) liability is unwanted • EEIG (EBR) limited to EU-countries To conclude: flexibility and transparency is needed!

  6. Current proposal • For ECRF: a Dutch association (“vereniging”) with different kinds of members • For EBR: a Societas Europaea; participation through the ECRF-association or direct

  7. From now on? • Making statutes for ECRF association, taking into account the remarks that were made • Take our time to think things through • Foundation of the association: later
