  2. What are genetically modified foods? Genetically modified foods are foods that come from genetically modified organisms. These foods have had specific changes introduced into their DNA by genetic engineering techniques.

  3. Most of the time genetically modified foods are transgenic plant products. Corn Canola Rice Cotton seed oil Soybean

  4. Pros Genetically engineered foods are cost effective. It can help people who live in areas where regular crops don’t prosper. Most of the time the foods are naturally pest-resistant, which reduces the need for chemicals. Genetically engineered foods could possibly help reduce world hunger.

  5. Cons It is not known if the foods can harm the human body. Unless the food is directly given to a country, some of the poor countries will not have easy access to them.
