  1. REVIVAL IN THE UGANDAN SLUMSBy Pastor Paul JB Lukwago INTRODUCTION PERSONAL PROFILE I was born in 1966,got saved in 1987.I entered ministry as an evangelist under Gospel Mission in 1989.We started our own ministry, Love and Caring Ministry in the year 1995.

  2. by Pastor Paul JB Lukwago • In Africa, we have been putting much emphasis on the spiritual ministry not bothering with the physical part of it. Eventually leading to extreme poverty among African ministries. • The way we had embraced the gospel on the side of the spiritual ministry led African churches to embrace a poverty mentality, which in turn has become a reproach to the ministry, For instance, if you are to organize a meeting, the preacher is the one to fund the meeting, providing food, accommodation, facilitation or even transportation etc..,This was geared by the western preachers who did not help Africans to come out of that poverty. It was not bad to bring money but it was also good to show and teach proper ways of over coming poverty., so they brought money for ministry undertakings and it became a baseline for the ministry in Africa. • There has been an adopted culture in the administration of resources where there has been a wide spread phenomena that every thing belongs to God, so when you give do not ask. It resulted into mismanagement and misappropriation of resources leading to stunted growth of churches or ministries and perhaps downfall….,No accountability/Church records etc.., • When Dr.Viv came he taught us much about cash flow, kingdom economy, accountability etc….,through the encanacao teachings we have started to see the light and are sure that we are on the right truck though it is a process yet we are happy for its beginning in Africa. • The great revival in Uganda is the advancement of the urban churches towards both spiritual and physical transformation.

  7. FROM RURAL TO URBAN In the year 2000 I and my wife Rose left the rural and came to live in the slums of kampala City where our current church was planted Pastor Paul JB and Rose Lukwago This was a new experience; We met people of different problems who had to use money on every thing for their survival,on food, water, charcoal, banana leaves, sleeping etc…, We had no solution to these people exept to pray and preach to them. Churches were under competition and if you did not have money you may have 60 members today and you remain with 20 next month The problems in the community were not solved and we had no solution Pastor Paul JB and Rose Lukwago

  8. A BRIEF SUMMARY OF OUR MINISTRY EXPERIENCE Churches were opened up using traditional instruments and choirs singing gospel composed songs as we have seen the previous pictures.
