  2. Aphrodite • Aphrodite is the goddess of love and beauty. • Her symbols are a dove and a rose.

  3. Apollo • Apollo is the god of light, music, reason, and mice. • His symbol is a lyre.

  4. Ares • Ares is the god of war. • His symbols are war helmets and war armor.

  5. Artemis • Artemis is the goddess of the hunt. • Her symbols are a bow, arrow, and a moon.

  6. Athena • Athena is the goddess of wisdom. • Her symbols are a spear and a Medusa breast plate.

  7. Zeus • Zeus is the lord of all gods. • His symbol is thunderbolts.

  8. Hera • Hera is the goddess of marriage and birth, also known as queen of Olympus. • Her symbol is the peacock.

  9. Poseidon • Poseidon is the lord of the sea. • He symbol is the trident.

  10. Dionysus • Dionysus is the god of wine and merriment. • His symbol is grape leaves.

  11. Hades • Hades is the lord of the dead, and preferred to stay in the underworld. • His symbol is the cap of invisibility, a black horse and chariot.

  12. Hermes • Hermes is the herald of all of the gods. • His symbols are winged sandals and a cap.

  13. Hestia • Hestia is the goddess of the harp and tends to the sacred fire. • Her symbol is the harp.
