Redemptions The following redemption rules will apply: • Sector based redemptions will apply throughout our network • Redemption class will be ‘U’ • Infant tickets will be seen as normal adult redemption tickets if the infant needs a seat; • Return fare is double redemption Miles; • Open Jaw tickets will not be allowed

The penalty of 500 Miles will apply for all tier level Members where the member has voluntary cancelled the booking.

  12. Member Transactions • Members must quote their FFP numbers when making their reservations or during the check-in process. After Flight Closure the airlines Departure Control System (DCS) generates a Frequent Traveller List (FTL). This FTL message is automatically sent to the Loyalty Plus Type B Address. This FTL message is interpreted and the programme rules are applied to the records that contain valid FFP numbers. • This interface is “real-time” and allows members to view Miles allocated to them within moments of flight closure. The member’s booking class is verified by matching the FTL data received with the PNR data. PNR data is received daily.

  13. Redemption Reversals • Redemption tickets are valid for 3 months only. Redemption Request Reversals will be allowed. • This option will only be available if the member has not already used (flown) the redemption requested. The following will govern the refund of redemption tickets: • Non-expired Redemption tickets will be refunded (Points and taxes) on a Reversal, but a percentage of the Points applicable for the specific Redemption will be forfeited. The SSR’s are: • FQTV for members flying on normal tickets; • FQTR for members flying on Redemption tickets and; • FQTU for member who are using Points to upgrade their class of travel. • Members will also quote their Air BotswanaFrequent Flyer membership numbers during the check-in process. If the membership number was not included on the PNR, the check-in agent must add the membership number during the check-in process. Once the flight has closed the Departure Control System will generate a FTL message in the standard IATA format.
