  2. AnimalFacts Description The swordfish colors are brown to camouflage with rocks, grey to camouflage in deep waters, and white to camouflage in high waters. The swordfish is 1 ½ feet tall and 5 feet long the max. They can be 900 to 1,100 pounds. Diet The swordfish is a carnivore and it eats anything below it on the food chain. It uses its nose to kill. Movement It swims really fast because of its scales, nose, and its fins. The swordfish is one of the top ten fastest animals in the ocean and they go about 50 mph. A pic showing your animal.

So they live in water from 60 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit. It has adaptions like its nose to kill, and gills to breath, and its colors to camouflage.

  4. Life Cycle The swordfish is not born by eggs but a live birth. They are only born one at a time and only taken care of for 1 year. Then it is off by itself. A swordfish looks like a shark but with a nose like a sword. They look the same their whole life. A picture of the animal as a baby or young. They have no special names at all. When they are a baby or an adult or when they are together in a group.

  5. Animal Interactions The swordfish protects itself by using its nose and fins to swim away fast. It communicates by jumping out of the water and making a big splash going back in. Their prey include squids, octopus, bluefish, and mackerel. It only has a relationship with other swordfish and eats everything else or tries to swim away.
