  • Managing for Development Results (MfDR) is a development planning and management approach or strategy which emphasizes outcomes or results to ensure development effectiveness.

  • Governments are increasingly being called upon to be more accountable for results.

  • Citizens, parliamentarians and media expect “national public management”to focusbeyondinputs, activitiesand outputstowards“outcomes”and“impacts”.

  • The Ministry of Plan Implementation (MPI) has commenced a number of initiatives to institutionalize "MfDR" within government

    • Selected few Ministries

    • Including KPI in to the Budget Estimates in 2010
