  11. Update on Action Items • Action Item 39 – To get information on the volumes of readings that are currently rejected because they are outside of the tolerance ranges for the different DGs • Daily figure of 4% - 6% of all NQH readings are initially implausible • Reduces to 1% outsorted after re-estimations 11

Update on Action Items • Action Item 156 – Update on ‘Universal Meter’ (3 register meter) The proposed approach is: New Connection • Conventional MCCs will be used i.e. 24hr. or Day/Night • The service order will specify the MCC requested on the application form. • At connection, the NT takes the appropriate readings and completes the service order. • ESBN will do a development to ‘force’ the meter characteristics at completion into the mode appropriate to the MCC • Meter Reader handhelds will hold only the registers for the MCC 15

  16. Update on Action Items • Action Item 156 – Update on ‘Universal Meter’ (3 register meter) (contd.) Change in MCC • Conventional MCCs will be used i.e. 24hr. or Day/Night • The service order will specify the MCC requested on the supplier message • The NT does not change the meter but takes the appropriate readings and completes the service order. • On completion in database, the meter characteristics into the relevant mode depending on the MCC. • The Meter Reader will ‘see’ only the relevant registers on his/her handheld. 16

  17. Update on Action Items • Action Item 169 – Examine preventative measure with the message reconciliation and resending processes to ensure there are no exceptions over the Christmas period • There were no message resends over the Christmas period 17

Update on Action Items • Action Item 174/188 – RMDS to Advise IGG of assurance measures to detect issues with future schema changes by IPT stage • In the future, the Hub team will carry out extra tests prior to the issue of a new draft schema using a software tool: • a compare between the live schema and the new schema to ensure that the only differences are those covered by MCRs • To validate a sample of real XML messages against the draft schema • Incorporate dependency for sign-off on completion of internal Regression Testing in advance of commencement of IPT 18

  19. Update on Action Items • Action Item 186– RMDS to provide update at the next IGG on message monitoring over the Christmas 2007/New Year 2008 period • Messages backed up in the Hub over the Christmas period and were released on 29th December • There was an accidental second batch run of the QH readings job which resulted in duplicate 341 messages issuing for 29 19

Requirement: For all MPRNs included in a specified aggregation run, 2 data extracts on request: 37

  38. MCR 0063 - Provision of reconciliation data • Assumptions • Suppliers can validate QH Export Aggregations by using the existing data (Generator Unit / Export Arrangement). • Timing of extract runs to fit in with the live production schedule • Output format will not be in the form of new messages • The frequency and costs of producing the reports would need to be discussed as an MRSO item at future IGGs. 38

  39. DR 0117 New Status Message for Meter Works and Special Read requests • Where we are: • DR0177 circulated and agreed • New IGG Action (18.10.2007): • add the list of codes • clarify how these messages tie in with chargeable and non chargeable transactions (in DUoS)when there is a cancellation. 39

  41. MCR 0127 - Decouple Connection Agreement requirement from Change of Supplier • In order to maximise potential value to suppliers, will request impact on the following alternative proposal: • Removal of CA requirement for all MPRNs connection at low voltage. • Advantages: • Would remove a larger number of sites from the requirement. • Compatible with NI design. • DSO are in agreement in principle 41
