  5. General Impressions and Observations This is “a” step in the overall process of increasing the participation of the region in the GHG market . Mission has: • enhanced individual contacts and awareness of the problems in implementing CDM in Africa • identified the potential of the voluntary carbon market as a way to address existing hurdles into the CDM • identified the need, potential and significance of forestry and biomass projects in the region • the need to link PINs and PDDs with traditional project financing tools and business plans
