  2. Goal of the Project: • To research ecological situation in Romania(Constanta) and in Portugal(Santa Comba). • Type of Writing Requested: • The list of questions: 1. What are the environmental problems of the place where you live? • 2. How are the environmental problems solved by the authorities in your city (town) today? • Are there any social organizations whose members work actively to protect the environment from pollution? • 3. Is litter a problem in your city (town)? Is it recycled? • 4. Do you have any parks or squares in your city (town)? If you have, do you like to spend your time there? Are there any birds or animals in them? • 5. How do you think, are parks and squares necessary for cities and towns? Why? • 6. Do you have a cleaning day in your school in spring? Who maintains order in your school yard? • 7. What can you do for protecting of the environment in your city (town)? • Description Of What You Are Looking For From Other Schools; • We, students of grade 6th-A of Educational Centre 1497 decided to learn ecological issue of a city. We asked our friends from other countries to give some information about ecological problems in their cities. We learnt all information we got and here are the results of our investigation.

  3. What are the environmental problems of the place where you live?Here is comparative analysis of Constanta(Romania) and Washington, DC(The USA)

  4. Is litter a problem in your city? Is it recycled? There are some ways of work with waste, they are called: The 3R’s Select products with the least wasteful packaging. Buy products made of recycled materials. Reuse bags, containers, papers, boxes and other items or pass them on those who could use them too. Remember: Lots of products can be recycled( like cans .bottles, paper ) Buy products that can be recycled as they take less energy than making products from brand new materials. Besides, some recycled products can be made into other goods.

  5. RecyclingEcopoints • Green ecopoint is for glass. • Yellow ecopoint is for plastic and metal. • Blue ecopoint is for paper and cardboard

  6. Useful things • In Portugal there is one more “R” of “re-educate” people. They did a lot of things using cardboard and cloth.

  7. Energy sources at home • In Portugal people use: • Solar energy, with the help of solar panels. • Wind energy
