  1. Final Exam Project Info • This project will be 50% of your final exam grade. You will take a written test that will count for the other 50%. • You will choose one of the following self-portrait options: • Silhouette Self-Portrait • Playing Card Self-Portrait • Postage Stamp Self-Portrait • You will have this week and test week to work on your portraits. You may take your projects home to work on them if necessary. Be warned-”forgetting” a project at home will result in a detention. • This is your final project, make it the best you possibly can! • This project will be due on the day of your semester exam. You will take your exam first then have the rest of the time to complete the portrait. • No early projects will be accepted unless your absence is pre-approved by the office and I have written proof from one of the administrators.

  2. Silhouette Self-Portrait Process: Take black & white photo of self facing sideways Print photo (I can do this) Cut out your silhouette Get 9 X 12 white paper Put a ½” border on paper Trace silhouette on paper Fill silhouette with drawings of objects that represent you You may use some words Drawing can be in black & white or in color. That is a design decision you will have to make. Your silhouette will NOT have a background, it will will remain on the white paper or you may cut it out and glue it black paper

  3. Playing CardSelf-Portraits Process: Choose which face card you feel well represents you Research what playing cards look like-this does not need to be based off of what you THINK they look like Get a 9 x 12 piece of white paper. Put a ½” border on the paper. Make sure to round your corners of the border to mimic the corners on a playing card Drawing must be in color

  4. Postage Stamp Self Portrait Process: Other than a representation of you in the design, there needs to be a number and a word in the design Get 9 X 12 white paper Put a ½’” border on the paper Make sure the border is scalloped like the edges of a stamp Transfer design to paper Design must be in color
