Operational Summary • Coalition forces continue attack • Control Baghdad International Airport solidified • Forces operating inside of Baghdad • Continuing progress in Southern Iraq • Ali mosque still at a standoff • Coalition forces not firing on mosque • Two oil well fires still burn • 4 days without missile attack into Kuwait

Security Situation Update • Rear Area Threat: • Iraqi surface to surface missile attacks still possible, though short-range threat diminished • Iraqi paramilitary activities north of Kuwaiti border • Travel in Iraq entails risk • Close interaction with HOC prior to departure is highly recommended to ensure receipt of the most recent security updates

Significant CMO/Civil Developments • Netherlands commits to sending 310 soldiers to Iraq for humanitarian relief operations • DART, medical, engineer, water specialists • Ready to deploy within days after war’s end • Bahrain Red Crescent Society developing plans for providing HA support in Iraq

  10. Southern Highlights • An Nasiriyah • Humanitarian health kits delivered for use by area hospitals • People going back to work • As Samawah • Teams distributed 1800 gal water and 20 bags of rice recovered from paramilitary • Water flow to Umm Qasr is doing well
