  14. YETS 2017-2018: open points & updates • Cryogenics calibration tests in sector 1-2  under discussion • Flushing of beam screen under discussion VSC & CRG • Cryogenics thermal load test in sectors 8-1 and 1-2 under discussion3 days per sector, suitable during the powering tests • PT 100 sensors & cables replacement on DFBX in sectors 1-2 and 8-1 under discussion with ELQA team and CRG • LHC 6 • UD62 dump activities: detailed planning to be validated and optimized after dump leak tests planned in W3 • N2 lines: detailed planning to be validated after X-rays (material delivery ok !) • Optimization of the planning of sector 1-2  in progress(cabling campaign, cabling rerouting, collimators activities, AFP, GGPSO, ….) • UL24 & 26 closed next week for crane tests (1/2 day) TBD • PR 711 in UX45 refurbishment so far so good but…PR714 in SX-4 is now out of order due to the breakage of one of the bearings  might delay the PR711 refurbishment works if PR714 not operational by Thursday morning (!) • UL55 civil engineering works for lifting platform: under study LHC coordination meeting 9th January 2018

YETS 2017-2018: updates Requestfrom TE-EPC: upgrade of the SVC Control System in LHC PA6 Project background: • Installation and commissioning of a new control crate for the Static Var Compensator in LHC PA6. • The existing control system is from 1988, and has become obsolete. • LHC PA6 is the prototype installation. Once the new control crate is validated there, we will apply it for all our SVCs. Description of the request: • EN-EL to switch off the main 66 kV transformer in LHC PA6 for 1 or 2 days • This requires the transfer of the load in PA6 to the LHC 18 kV General Services Loop (switch-over and switch-back of the load)Transient disturbances possible during these two periods. Main impact on the following groups: EN-EL, EN-CV, TE-CRG, Others Planning: • Possible dates for the switch-over on PA6 for TE-EPC: • January  from 9th Jan. @12h00 to 10th Jan. 15h00 (during test de secours) • Pre-commissioning in Week 4/2018 • Powering tests  W6 between 6th and 9th FebruaryDuring the powering tests, some smaller disturbances are possible in the 18 kV network in PA6 Coordination with the users in PA6 are also required to find the best slot for the powering tests LHC coordination meeting 9th January 2018
