  10. Famous People: • Nicolaus Copernicus - an astronomer and the first person to formulate the heliocentric model, with the Sun in the center of the universe.

  11. Marie Skłodowska-Curie – a French-Polish physicist and chemist, famous for her pioneering research into radioactivity. She discovered two elements, polonium and radium. She received two Nobel Prizes: in Physics and in Chemistry.

  12. Frédéric Chopin – a Polish composer and virtuoso pianist. He is considered to be one of the greatest masters of Romantic music.

  13. John Paul II - was the Pope of the Catholic Church from 1978 until his death in 2005. He was the second-longest serving Pope in history and the first non-Italian since 1523.

  14. Jan Matejko - was a Polish painter known for paintings of notable national, historical events,both political and military.
