  3. Hello boys and girls my name is Dr. Snodgrass! I am looking for some great detectives to appear on a NEW Discovery Kids T. V. Show. Your job is to record on paper the differences in the Pilgrims and the Wampanoag Indians clothes and their food!

First things first, you need to know a little something about the Pilgrims and the Wampanoag Indians, don’t you? Well, take a gander at this little movie and see what you think! Hint: Ask your teacher to help you make notes!

  5. Timeline for Pilgrims and Wampanoag Indians (A timeline is the order in which events happen) The Pilgrims established their first colony called Plimoth. (Plymouth) By the Spring almost half of the Pilgrims had perished. 1620 1621 Winter of 1620-1621 The Pilgrims struggled to build homes while living on the Mayflower

  12. This is a called a Pie Chart! It also shows us Information about the Pilgrim and Indian food! Can you guess why it is called a Pie Chart? This chart tells us how many of you liked the Indian food better than the Pilgrim food.

  13. Try this Venn Diagram! This will help you compare the foods of the Pilgrims and the Wampanoag Indians! Directions: In the outer circles, write things that are different. In the center circle, write things that are alike! Different Different Same Indians ate Wild turkey and deer. Pilgrim ate Clams. They both ate and grew corn. They both ate fish.

  16. 3. Write the name of two foods that the Indians grew and draw a picture. 4. Write the name of two foods that the Pilgrims grew and draw a picture. 5. Write the name of two foods that you eat for Thanksgiving and draw a picture.

  17. Now for all of you students that feel up to a challenge! Here’s a little Math Problem! 1.There once was a Pilgrim family, that lived in Plymouth. Dan was nine years old and lives with his Mother and Father and little sister Jenny. The whole family played in the snow during the celebration with the Indians. Mother hung up their mittens on the clothesline to dry. How many mittens did Mother hang up in all? Print this page and try and solve the problem?

  18. Here’s a little hint to help you calculate how many mittens were hung out to dry! How many mittens does Mother have? How many mittens does Jenny have? How many mittens Father have? How many mittens does Dan have? Mother hung up _____ mittens in all.
