  1. RAIDMode With 2.2TB HDD on AMD with EFI • Update BIOS to support RAID mode with 2.2TB • AMD SB950 RAID firmware version 3.2.1540.6 • AMD FM1 RAID firmware version 3.2.1540.45 • Please follow the SOP to set RAID mode with 2.2TB HDD on AMD platform since that is AMD chipset limitation. 1. Boot system then go to BIOS setup menu 2. Set “SATA Mode” item to "RAID" mode 3. Set “Board SATA RAID ROM” from Legacy ROM to “UEFI DRIVER” then save BIOS.

  2. RAIDMode With 2.2TB HDD on AMD with EFI 4. Type command as … drvcfg then press “Enter” key 3. After system reboot, press F11 to enter boot menu. Select UEFI: Built-in EFI Shell then press “Enter” key 5. Type command as the picture what you see Standard command: “drvcfg –s xx yy” then press “Enter” key xx = Drv[xx] yy = Ctrl[yy]

  3. RAIDMode With 2.2TB HDD on AMD with EFI 6. Select “+ Logical Drive Main Menu” then press “Enter” to enter RAID Setup Utility. 7. Select “+ Logical Drive Create Menu” then press “Enter” key. 8. Select “+ Usable Physical Drive List” then press “Enter” key. 9. Mark “X” on chosen HDDs to build RAID by Enter or Space key.

  4. RAIDMode With 2.2TB HDD on AMD with EFI 10. Select “- LD Name”, and type the name (EX. RAIDtest) for the RAID configuration.

  5. RAIDMode With 2.2TB HDD on AMD with EFI 11. Select “+ Ld Size Setting” then press “Enter” key. 12. Set desired Ld size. Ld size [0] = Use Max Ld size. When done, select “+ Start To Create” then press “Enter” key. 13. Press “Enter” key to confirm the Ld size for RAID mode. 14. Press “Enter” key to continue build RAID mode or press “ESC” to ignore.

  6. RAIDMode With 2.2TB HDD on AMD with EFI 15. Select “+ Logical Drive List Menu” to check the RAID mode if it is successful 16. If you see the name you type for the HDD that means the RAID mode is built 17. Press “F10” key then press “Enter” key to exit the AMD RAID setup utility 18. Press “Enter” key to restart the system, then continue OS installation.

  9. RAIDMode With 2.2TB HDD on AMD with EFI 6. Please press “Enter”. 7. Successful to delete RAID Driver.

  10. RAIDMode With 2.2TB HDD on AMD with EFI 8. The RAID driver already been deleted.

  11. RAIDMode With 2.2TB HDD on AMD with EFI FAQ: Q:When selecting the installed device, the RAID 0 disk divided to 2 parts.

  12. RAIDMode With 2.2TB HDD on AMD with EFI • A: • To solve the problem, the HDD should be converted to GPT format. • STEP: • Press  “Shift + F10 “ • Command: diskpart ( to  Run diskpart ) • List disk  ( to show all the disks ) • Select disk  0 • Convert gpt(convert disk 0 to GPT format. Also convert other RAID disks to GPT format by selecting disk 1,2,3… ). • Exit • Exit • 3. Back to previous installed device selection and refresh.
