  2. Liberal Arts Plan • Bible - 8 semesters • English- 8 semesters • Math- 6 semesters • Science- 6 semesters • Social Studies- 6 semesters (must include Civics) • PE- 2 semesters • Rhetoric 2 semesters • Electives- 14 semesters Total 52 credits

  4. Honors Academic Plan Additional Requirements for Academic Honors Plan • All the same requirements at the Advanced Academic Plan, with 8 semesters of Honors and/or AP Courses • Honors and AP courses are offered in Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, and English

  5. Testing Information PSAT,PLAN, SAT, and ACT

PSAT • Taken Sophomore and Junior years • Is a preliminary SAT test providing practice for future testing • Those who achieve high scores are recognized and may be eligible for scholarships • Given at ECA every October to Juniors and interested Sophomores • Check Website at www.collegeboard.com/psatextra to set up an account and for an explanation of scores

  7. PLAN Test • For 10th grade students • Created by ACT • Career exploration component as part of the test • Test Math, English, Reading, and Science • Great exposure to ACT • More info at http://www.act.org/planstudent//

ACT and SAT • The two major college entrance exams • Important not only for admissions requirements, but also for consideration for many scholarships as well as athletic eligibility • May be taken more than once with only the highest score considered • Take each test at least one time, more if possible • Various test dates and locations throughout the year register online at www.actstudent.org or www.collegeboard.com

High School Planning • Maintain your GPA starting with classes in 8th grade • Take courses that are challenging • Take courses to assist in determining your future interest as well as those which prepare you for college courses • Visit and research colleges • Research and complete as many scholarship opportunities as possible
