  4. Statistics • What are library statistics and why are they important? • Libraries keep statistics on a myriad of different issues, including: • the circulation of books • Number of Patron who enter and exit the library

  6. Interlibrary Loan • Interlibrary Loans (ILL) are a services that libraries have been performing for over one hundred years. • Interlibrary loan is the process by which a library requests materials from, or supplies material to, another library.

  7. ILL’s are loans of books, journal articles, newspapers, microfiche, or any library material worthy materials that are contained in a libraries collection

  8. Interlibrary Loan • Like any other library duties, ILL’s are governed by library policies. • RUSA( Reference User Services of America) has created guidelines the delivery of and receiving of books from other libraries. • Individual libraries also have their own guidelines for ILL use.
