  4. Macbeth- The 2nd Vice President, Now CEO • Clive Owen • Lennox- Board Member • Craig Furguson • Apparitions • Heather O’Rourke

  5. The Scene Text • Set Up: • Macbeth has used devious means to launch a corporate take over of Duncan Enterprises. After being egged on by the office gossips and paper pushers in the bowels of the office building. • As we enter, Macbeth has grown suspicious of the Executive Board members and has sought out the wisdom of the paper pushers once again

Focus in On: The File Clerk Office • File Clerk 1- • Fill this out in triplicate please! • File Clerk 2- • Blue, Pink, Yellow! • File Clerk 3- • Skip a line, you’ll pay us fellow! • File Clerk 1- • SEC2056, W-2 and I-29 • SEC1662, In case of Emergency, L99 • SEC1475, Stamp and sign • Copy and bind. • All- • Doughnut, doughnuts, cake and candy • Red Bull coffee keeps us dandy! • Hacate- • Praise and Accolades! I commend your pains; • We all shall celebrate the office gains! • And now you shall file, file, away • Or until 6 we must stay! • File Clerk 2- • There’s the stopping on the stairs • Oh, those evil office prats do come • Open the locks, • Whoever Knocks!

Pan over to Macbeth as he Enters • Macbeth- • How now pasty white file clerks. • What is it you do? • All- • We track it all- deeds without a name. • Macbeth- • Since you say you know all that happens here • Whatever manual or form from which it comes • I ask you to, answer me! • File Clerk 1- • So ask already. • File Clerk 2- • There are papers to be filed. • File Clerk 3- • We’ll tell you what you need to know. • File Clerk 1- • If you don’t trust us we can call in the bosses. • Macbeth- • Yes, call the bosses! • File Clerk 1- • Fine, sign here, (pause) and here (pause), and here. • Stamp and notarize • All- • Come- Bosses and office deftly show!

  8. Lighting Dims, from behind the stacks of files… • Macbeth- • I have a question to ask you! • File Clerk 1- • Don’t talk! They already know why you have come! • Apparition- • Macduff is talking, talking around the water cooler! • Macbeth, Macbeth, Macbeth, Beware Macduff. • (Vanishes behind a stack of paperwork) • Macbeth- • Good to know that little gossip. Thanks for the heads up! • But, one more thing- • File Clerk 1- • Hang on that one is gone, here is another • (Same Apparition- different outfit- different stack appears from) • Apparition- • Ah, Macbeth! Be bloody, bold, and resolute! • None of the board can take over without proper forms. • (Disappears behind the stacks of papers) • Macbeth- • Then I need not worry about the gossip. • But just to be safe, I should probably remove him from the board. • (Appears again in a different outfit- from behind yet another stack of papers) • What is with the crown upon your head? • All- • Listen, but do not speak! • Apparition- • Don’t worry about who is gossiping about you. • You will never be removed from the company until • It rains within the offices. • (Disappears behind the stack of papers)

  9. Focus in on the eyes of Lennox as he enters • Macbeth Turns around and is confronted with the pictures of all the CEO’s. The last where his picture should now be is instead- Banquo whom Macbeth got imprisoned for embezzlement. • Macbeth- • What the heck is this, a joke? I shall have your jobs! • File Clerk 1- • Oh we were just trying to cheer up the place! • Never say we didn’t help you! • (File Clerks disappear behind the stacks of paper and Lennox enters) • Lennox- • Sir, did you need something? • Macbeth- • Did you see those darn file clerks? • Lennox- • No sir, I did not. • Macbeth- • Drat! Why do I listen to those cursed women? Who came by? • Lennox- • Oh, two or three board members came by to let us know that Macduff has gone overseas. • Macbeth- • Is he running away? • Lennox- • Appears that way sir. • (Close-up Macbeth to Camera) • Macbeth- • Hmm, it is almost like he knew what was coming. • Oh well, I shall visit his home and take everything he owns • Leave his family with nothing. Corporate recovery is such a great way • To rule a firm! No gossiping like a fool then! • (Pan out to Lennox and Macbeth) • Okay, well lets go meet the board shall we?
