  4. Relationships Personable Approachable Make my students and parents feel comfortable with me. Build strong connections with my students so that they feel important.

  5. Hands on Learning. I want the students to be involved in the learning and teaching process. I want to give them opportunities to explore and teach themselves. Encourage different ways of learning.

  6. Organized Always be prepared. Versatile, so that I can be ready to take a lesson in a different direction for students that aren’t catching on as quickly. Be able to slow down and look at class activities, projects and lessons through different angles so that I can become a more effective teacher. Be open to change.

  8. Respect Each Other Teach my students with respect so that they will learn to be respectful. Teach students to appreciate each other for their differences. Encourage students to learn about different ethnicities and cultures.
